Social Collaboration

The article Facebook Valuation Stood In Way Of Twitter Deal focuses on the idea of Facebook buying Twitter. The two companies both discussed the deal in the fall and they could not agree on a price or structure. The value would have to be paid in Facebook stock. With Facebook having two different values of worth, confusion set in.

Twitter was ready to make the deal, offering Facebook cash and stocks. Facebook was not ready financially, so the deal did not happen.

If these two companies would have joined forces it would have opened a door for various opportunities in the social network. Both comanies are already popular and it would be very interesting to see what the outcome would have been. The article could have added the affects the two companies would have had on society. I would have investigated a more in-depth reasoning as to why Facebook was not as eager as Twitter was to make the deal. The article could have included opinions of staff from both Facebook and Twitter. Also, voices of the people and how they felt about the whole situation.

Did you make the graphic you used in this blog? It looks really nice. Also you picked an interesting story. I actually like how the two are not affiliated now.

This is a very interesting article, I had no idea Facebook was trying to buy Twitter. I use both and I hope if one buys out the other nothing would change on the websites.

Interesting article. Make sure you mention where it comes from. You could also include more links (one for twitter and one for facebook).
